Founder & Director YNG Studios
Deborah Miller, a 500RYT and YACEP-certified yoga instructor and the owner of YNG Studios, holds the highest designations in her field. She brings a profound passion for health, wellness, and longevity, combining ancient wisdom with modern, functional movement practices. Influenced by the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar and T.K.V. Desikachar, Deborah's unique approach marries tradition with practical, dynamic movement, creating a balanced practice for students of all levels. Her popular SHRED class, which incorporates weights, cardio, and asana, has become a studio favorite, delivering a challenging, strength-building experience.
Deborah’s personal journey into yoga began after a series of back surgeries, including a three-disc neck fusion, and her recovery from a career as a competitive athlete. Yoga became a transformative healing path, leading her to focus on helping others prioritize self-care, balance, and resilience at every stage of life. Inspired by Blue Zone principles, Deborah emphasizes living with intention, purpose, and community, seeing them as essential to a long, vibrant life. She has a particular dedication to aging clients and those with injuries, encouraging mindfulness, gratitude, healthy eating, and restorative sleep as foundational pillars for longevity.
With a 35-year career as a hairstylist, Deborah has built strong community connections and spent over a decade in missionary work in Africa. During her time in Rwanda, she taught health and hygiene in remote villages as part of a clean water initiative, reinforcing her commitment to balance and service—values she brings into her work at the studio.
Deborah also spent a decade caring for her mother, who had Parkinson’s disease, giving her a profound understanding of the importance of supporting both the caretaker and the patient. This experience continues to drive her dedication to nurturing practices that support physical and emotional well-being.
At YNG Studios, Deborah has cultivated a community grounded in balance, inspired by the interplay of YIN and YANG energies. Central to her philosophy is a God-centered practice, honoring the body as a temple and gift. Through her classes, Deborah guides students in nurturing their physical, emotional, and spiritual selves.
At home, Deborah enjoys life with her husband, Todd, and their three rescue dogs: Buddha, an English bulldog, and two pugs, Frank and Beans. She aims to inspire students, particularly those facing health challenges or the challenges of aging, to live with vitality, embracing the best versions of themselves.
