Ram Ganesan is a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Kaboom AI, an applied AI venture based out of New York that operates at the intersection of Sales, Service, and CRM. As a second-time entrepreneur with a successful exit, Ram’s focus with Kaboom AI is on recreating the culture and innovation that fueled the success of his prior company, Söoryen Technologies.
In 2012, Ram founded Söoryen Technologies with a vision to make people, employees, and customers happy by providing innovative digital experience solutions. Under his leadership, Söoryen gained significant recognition, making the Inc. 5000 list three years in a row (2016-2018), being ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 (2018), and achieving 19th place in the NJ Fast 50 (2017). In 2018, Söoryen was acquired by Indecomm Digital Services, which rebranded as Encora in 2020, backed by Advent International and Warburg Pincus, two of the world's leading private equity firms.
Ram’s most recent role was as the Global Head of Digital Experience (DXP) at Encora, where he continued driving digital transformation across global enterprises. His passion for entrepreneurship and customer success has made him a notable figure in the digital commerce and cloud consulting spaces, and he is committed to forging new partnerships with cutting-edge technology providers.
Before founding Söoryen, Ram held senior roles at several Fortune 500 companies, including IBM, CitiBank, AT&T, MetLife Insurance, and 1800Flowers. As Vice President of IT Application Development at 1800Flowers, he successfully managed a team of over 100 people, overseeing software applications and offshore vendor relationships. Prior to that, as AVP of International IT for Metlife Insurance and EIMEA, he led a global team of 150 engineers, developers, and managers across 12 countries.
Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Ram moved to New York City in 1996. He holds an Engineering degree from the University of Mumbai and a Graduate degree in Business from the City University of New York-Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Ram has nurtured future business leaders as an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at Pace University in New York.
Outside of work, Ram is a proud father, husband, golfer, skier, and animal lover, balancing his family life with his passions for personal and professional growth.
