Andrea Goulet is an influential figure in the software industry who has used empathy to improve organizational effectiveness for over 25 years. In 2009, Andrea co-founded Corgibytes, a software consultancy that specialized in modernizing mission-critical legacy software systems. She served as CEO and led the company through a successful exit in 2024. Today, she helps organizations solve complex challenges by embracing empathic communication, emergent ideation, and continuous improvement through experimentation.
In 2017, Andrea was named by LinkedIn as one of the Top 10 People in Software Under 35. Through her online courses, Andrea has empowered over 75,000 people to become better collaborators by approaching empathy as a technical skill. She is an engaging keynote speaker and is frequently invited to motivate audiences around the world, and is currently working on her first book, Empathy-Driven Software Development, through Pearson publishing. She has worked with organizations such as the Smithsonian, the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and the Virginia Department of Taxation.
Andrea is a passionate community builder. In 2021, she became the youngest recipient of the Richmond Technology Council’s highest honor, the Chairman’s Award, for her work on modernizing the organization to become more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
